This Privacy Policy supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consents which you may have previously provided to us, nor does it affect any rights that we may have at law in connection with the collection, use and/or disclosure of your Personal Data. We may from time to time update this Privacy Policy to ensure consistency with legal developments, industry trends, and our evolving business practices.

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the updated versions will be posted on our website and date-stamped so you are aware of the latest version. Continued use of our services and website following any updates shall constitute your consent to such changes.

Subject to your rights at law, the prevailing terms of the Privacy Policy shall apply.

1. Your Personal Data

1.1 In this Data Protection Policy, “Personal Data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time.

1.3 Cessation of Collection of Full NRIC Numbers

In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act and our commitment to protecting candidates’ personal data, McKin will cease to collect, process, or use full NRIC numbers during our screening and job application process.
Kindly ensure that your resume submitted to us does not contain your full NRIC number or full home address.

1.4 Protection of Your Personal Data

We implement a range of technical and organisational measures to safeguard your Personal Data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. These measures include but are not limited to:

  • Access control and role-based permissions

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

  • Secure servers and firewalls

  • Staff confidentiality agreements and regular PDPA training

  • Secure disposal of physical records

2. Purposes for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Data

2.1 Generally, McKin may collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes, depending on the nature of our relationship with you, in accordance with the PDPA:

  • (a) the purposes for which we have specifically obtained your consent; and

  • (b) the purposes for which you have provided your Personal Data to us.

2.2 In addition, McKin may collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • (a) Job applications, employment matters, and related administrative purposes;

  • (b) Submitting your resume to our clients for job placement opportunities;

  • (c) Communicating changes, updates, or administrative matters;

  • (d) Identity verification;

  • (e) Responding to queries, requests, and complaints;

  • (f) Fulfilling referral requests;

  • (g) Market research, statistical profiling, and service improvement;

  • (h) Group medical insurance policies;

  • (i) Marketing initiatives and internal branding activities;

  • (j) Work Pass or special access pass applications;

  • (k) Record-keeping and archival (physical and electronic);

  • (l) Crime prevention and risk analysis;

  • (m) Training and grant application support;

  • (n) Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, sanctions, court orders, and policies;

  • (o) Assistance with law enforcement investigations; and

  • (p) Any other lawful purposes as required or permitted in the course of our business.

2.3 When you browse our website, you generally do so anonymously, but please see Section 4 on cookies.

2.4 You are responsible for ensuring that all Personal Data provided is correct, accurate, and up to date. Inaccurate or outdated information may hinder our ability to provide services.

2.5 Where Personal Data is submitted on behalf of another individual, you confirm that consent has been obtained in accordance with applicable laws, including the PDPA, and that you can furnish proof of consent upon request.

2.6 Where it becomes necessary to transfer your Personal Data outside Singapore (e.g., cloud storage or third-party platforms), McKin will ensure the receiving organisation offers a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, through contractual safeguards or compliance with equivalent legal requirements.

2.7 In the event of a data breach that results in or is likely to result in significant harm, McKin will:

  • Notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) within 3 calendar days, if required;

  • Inform affected individuals as soon as practicable;

  • Take all necessary steps to contain the breach and prevent recurrence.

3. Disclosure of Personal Data

3.1 Personal Data may be disclosed, subject to applicable laws, to:

  • (a) Internal teams within McKin Talent Solutions;

  • (b) Corporate clients seeking candidates for employment;

  • (c) Third-party service providers (IT, storage, mailing, etc.);

  • (d) Credit bureaus, debt collection, or dispute resolution agencies;

  • (e) Our auditors, legal advisors, and consultants;

  • (f) Judicial, governmental, or regulatory authorities, whether local or foreign;

  • (g) Any party with whom disclosure is necessary to fulfil the above-stated purposes.

3.2 Where McKin acts as a data intermediary for our clients (e.g., employers), we require these clients to treat all received Personal Data in accordance with PDPA and use it solely for its intended purpose.

4. Use of Cookies

4.1 We may collect or analyze anonymized information from which individuals cannot be identified (“Aggregate Information”), such as number of users and their frequency of use, the number of page views (or page impressions) that occur on our websites and common entry and exit points into our websites.

4.2 We use “cookies”, where a small data file is sent to your browser to store and track Aggregate Information about you when you enter our websites. The cookie is used to track information such as the number of users and their frequency of use, profiles of users and their preferred sites.

4.3 The Aggregate Information collected is used to assist us in analyzing the usage of our websites and improving our websites.

4.4 Should you wish to disable the cookies associated with these technologies, you may do so by changing the setting on your browser. However, you may not be able to enter certain part(s) of our websites.

5. Third-Party Sites

5.1 Our website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties that are linked to our website. 6. Access, Correction, and Withdrawal of Consent

6.1 You may request access to or make corrections to your Personal Data records, but McKin has the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing your request. Please submit your request to our Data Protection Officer for us to proceed.

6.2 If you wish to withdraw your consent to any use or disclosure of your Personal Data as set out in this Data Protection Policy, you may contact our Data Protection Officer.

6.3 Please note that if you withdraw your consent to any or all use or disclosure of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, we may not be in a position to continue to provide our services to you or administer any contractual relationship in place. Such withdrawal may also result in the termination of any agreement you may have with us.

6.4 McKin’s legal rights and remedies are expressly reserved in such event.

7. Retention of Personal Data

7.1 Your Personal Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws or internal recordkeeping policies.
